<br />February 28, 2001 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. March suggested forwarding Council's decision to all committees/commissions to <br />ascertain their desires on this issue. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers stated that she felt if a representative of a <br />committee/commission desired attending a Council meeting, a standing invitation exists <br />for same. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg requested that Mr. March contact committee/commissions to ascertain <br />their desire for liaisons, to request that if larger issues arise, to keep Council abreast of <br />the situation, forward Council's support and Council's desire to provide the necessary <br />professional expertise if deemed appropriate. Mr. March stated that he would draft a <br />policy for same. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra requested that Staff investigate which committees/commissions <br />received stipends and amounts. Council Member Capra also stated the possibility of <br />increasing same and that EDC did not receive a stipend. <br />, I! <br /> <br />13. Motion carried <br />unanimouslv. <br /> <br />X. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />XI. ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Mr. March reported that he had a meeting with an architect to discuss the City monument <br />SIgn. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra requested that Mr. March update Council on the status of a lot <br />contained in Buechler Estates. <br /> <br />Mr. March explained the developer who is in the process of building on the last lot in the <br />development, approached Staff with house plans showing a revised grading plan that <br />called for a portion of the garage to be off of the building pad. The Building Official <br />indicated to Mr. Buechler.that he needed to revise the grading plan or adjust the house to <br />fit on the existing plan. Mr. Buechler contacted his attorney who advised him that it was <br />illegal for the City to hold the building permit subject to setback requirements. Staff <br /> <br />Page 11 of 14 <br />
