<br />, <br /> <br />Centerville City Council <br />February 12,2003 <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she would like to know what the cost is. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council Member Paar <br />to authorize UP to $500 for an emplovee appreciation dinner and direct Staff to <br />schedule the dinner locallv and make the necessarv arranl!ements. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that an informal poll of Staff indicated an interest in going to <br />DeCoy's in White Bear Lake. She then indicated that DeCoy's is available on March 14, <br />2003 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked if the City would be paying overtime. Mayor Sweeney <br />indicated this is by invitation and it is optional whether to attend. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated that City Council Members would be paying for their meals <br />and the City will not pay for alcoholic beverages and the City will be paying for <br />employee and their spouse's meals <br /> <br />VOTE: Aves - 4. Navs -l(Capra). Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked if the developer of the Buckbee had paid the $250.00 per <br />lot as he initially paid only one fee of $250 because, at the time, there was a question as <br />to how many lots there would be. Staff agreed to look into the matter. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked Staff to send a letter to Centennial Community Services <br />indicating that the City has a policy of not donating as it cannot donate to all causes. She <br />also asked that information on Dead Broke Saddle Club and the Spring Lake Park Lions <br />be included for donation requests. Mayor Sweeney indicated that they could ask the Fire <br />Department for a donation as well. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated the EDC meeting was cancelled due to lack of a quorum. <br />He then said it was rescheduled to February 18,2003 and indicated that the main focus of <br />the EDC is improving communication with the Committee, the City and local businesses. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that the City would need to revote on the Resolution <br />approved for funding a new cable building as Ham Lake is not interested in paying. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated the Planning Commission looks forward to <br />its new members. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked if the letter of interest for Parks and Recreation would be <br />considered. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the information would be in the next packet. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she had sent a letter to Mr. Carlson about the additional park <br />fees. <br /> <br />Page 140f15 <br />
