<br />city of Centervi1le <br />March 13, 2002 <br />Council Minutes <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers suggested discussing this matter during the next <br />budget discussions. <br /> <br />city Attorney Hoeft said the copy of the document that the City has is not signed by <br />either party and suggested Staff look into whether there is a signed copy of the document. <br />Mr. patzer indicated that he thought the document was approved by both Councils. <br />Council Member Nelson indicated that it was approved by motion if not signed. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if the City is an exporter or importer. Mr. patzer indicated that, <br />at this time, the City is a net exporter. <br /> <br />4. Enw10yment Policies <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she had located the employment policies but did not have a <br />chance to review them. <br /> <br />5. 21 st Avenue Reconstruction <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she had received several calls concerning the condition of <br />21 st Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. Patzer indicated that the City had dumped seven (7) loads of Class 5. He also noted <br />the Dairy Queen manager feels that business is down 25% because of the condition of the <br />road. He further noted arcade asphalt is concerned with the condition of the road. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson noted that the businesses did not want to pay the cost to fix the <br />road when the option was presented. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that because Lino Lakes is a charter city they have to assess <br />for the improvements. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked how the city could assess the full amount if <br />the value cannot be justified. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated a number of property owners on the Centerville side were not <br />in mvor of the project and the matter was dropped. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked if it would be prudent to have a joint meeting with Lino <br />Lakes on this matter. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that the City does not have any money to <br />fund the reconstruction at this time. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked who was responsible fur further developing the road. Mr. <br />Pa1zer indicated that whomever develops the parcel would be responsible. He then <br /> <br />Page 13 of21 <br />
