I, . <br /> <br />City of Centerville <br />February 13, 2002 <br />Council Minutes <br />Council Member Capra asked if the payment to Abdo, Abelo, Eick and Meyer is the cost <br />for the deferred compensation issue. Ms. Bender explained that the amounts included <br />costs for the deferred compensation and bank reconciliation. <br /> <br />Ms. Bender asked if the Mayor was happy with the change in process concerning <br />approval of the checks. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg indicated he was fine with the process as long as Council, as a whole, <br />gives approval for payment. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra questioned whether the City was paying the $144,853.75 <br />payment to U.S. Bank Corporation Trust Service twice. It appeared this bill had already <br />been paid. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Chris and Teresa had contacted the bank because they <br />found two original invoices for the same billing and were told that there was a double <br />payment and one of the checks would be returned to the City. She then indicated that <br />Staff would be on the lookout for double invoicing on that matter in the future. <br /> <br />Motion bv Couneil Member Broussard Viekers. seconded bv Council Member <br />Nelson to approve the Consent ARenda as presented. AD in favor. Motion earried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />X. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Council Member Travis reported the Pl~mning and Zoning Commission had ~li7ed the <br />changes to Ordinance #4 and was sending it on to Council for consideration. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked whether the ordinance change to allow the garage was <br />advertised in the paper. Ms. Bender indicated it had been sent to the paper and would be <br />published next week. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson indicated she was opposed to the language in the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission minutes concerning the front set back on lakes and asked for <br />clarification. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the discussion was concerning lining up the properties <br />along the lake shore and indicated she would ask for clarification of the comwent. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis indicated that the party wishing to build a dog kennel in the <br />industrial park is waiting for approval of Ordinance #4 so that she can proceed with her <br />plans. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked how many dogs the kennel would house. <br /> <br />Page 22 of25 <br />
