II <br /> <br />City ofCenterville <br />February 13, 2002 <br />Council Minutes <br />Mayor Swedberg asked Council Member Broussard Vickers to convey to the Committee <br />that the Committee needs to determine what to do with the skate park because there are <br />serious concerns there. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that there are funds in the budget for an <br />attendant at the skate park and the Committee will be looking at the cost of the attertdant <br />and what types of hours the attendant would be there. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson noted that the EDC is hosting the Snow Biz event and invited <br />everyone to participate. <br /> <br />Council MeQJber Capra noted the deadline for nominations for citizen and business of the <br />year 'and the lifetime achievement award is February 15,2002. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra noted the Cable Commission's annual report was in Council <br />packets. <br /> <br />XI. ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes reported that the W2's bad been completed. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated he bad not received an update from Mr. Heemer in his <br />office concerning the status of the interest and penalties. <br /> <br />Council.Member Nelson asked at what point the City would make public the deferred <br />compensation issue. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the matter would re~ closed until all the issues are <br />resolved and would then become public. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the Police Commission bad asked for a key for the front <br />door for the meetings to be held at City Hall. Mayor Swedberg indicated that a key was <br />not necessary because he would be attending the meetings and would open the door. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Mr. Patzer bad asked her to mention that Staff has <br />reviewed the preliminary plans for the upgrade to lift station number 1 and Staff has <br />discussed moving the siren with Xcel and is awaiting a response. <br /> <br />Ms. Bender indicated she was approached by the CSO ftom the Centennial Police <br />Department whom bad said that it would be easier for the' police department to enforce <br />ordinances if all three cities bad the same ordinances. ' <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked Staff to get more information as to which <br />ordinances should be combined. <br /> <br />Page 24 of25 <br />
