<br />26. NON-CONFORMING SIGN: A sign which lawfully existed prior to (date <br />ordinance passes here), but does not confonn to this chapter. <br /> <br />27. OFF-SITE SIGN: A sign which advertises any business, product, person, event <br />or service conducted, sold, manufactured or located off the premises where the <br />sign is located. <br /> <br />28. PAINTED SIGN: A sign painted directly on the outside wall or roof of a <br />building or on a fence, rock or similar structure or feature in any zoning district. <br /> <br />29. PENNANTS: Pieces of cloth, paper, or plastic intended to be individually <br />supported or attached to each other by means of rope, string or other material, and <br />intended to be hung on buildings or other structures or between poles, and does <br />not include any written or graphical, or other form of copy. <br /> <br /> <br />30. PERMANENT SIGN: Any sign which is displayed or intended for display for <br />an indefinite period of time. <br /> <br />31.
