Box 441
Hugo,MN 55038

Dear Mr. Larson:

On behalf of the City of Centerville and the Parks & Recreation Committee we would like to thank. you
for your past support of our park improvements. We have recently been renovating Tracie McBride
Memorial Park. This park was the previous location of the Centerville Water Tower which was
removed in 2006. The play structure was outdated and had become unsafe. The renovation is being
completed in phases, as funds are available. The play structure, base and border have been replaced
this summer. The Parks & Recreation Committee is planning for additional play equipment, as well as
a tennis court in the future. The renovation to date has cost approximately $45,000. The committee
would like to request $10,000 in charitable gambling funds from your organization. While recognizing
the limitations of your funding, any amount the Dead Broke Saddle Club could donate towards the
continued renovation of this park would be greatly appreciated. A staged financial commitment over a
period of time would also help the committee fund and budget expenses for this project.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of the Parks & Recreation Committee's request. Tfyou
have any questions or comments, please feel free to call me at City Hall, 651-429-3232.

svrelY,

Mr.~~~

City Administrator

,-s-
