<br />January 31,1963 <br /> <br />(r. <br /> <br />The regular monthly meeting of the Village Council of Centerville was held in the <br />Village Hal.l on Wednesday,January 9,1963. <br /> <br />Those present: <br /> <br />Francis Burque,Mayor <br />!red Bourquin,C1erk- <br />John Peterson,CoUDcilman <br />4~~ Cecil LaMotte,Councilman <br /> <br />"Meeting cal.led to order by Mayor Burque at 8:15 P.M. The minutes of the Special <br />Financial Report OD December 27,1962 were read by Clerk Bourquin and motioned by <br />LaMotte and seconded by Peterson,to stand approved as read, this was voted unan- <br />imously. . <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Mel vi.n Dupre - e- "f N i-'-/ AlUM" <br /> <br />Joseph LaCrosse stated that he has . turned down the Assessor job for the Village <br />and at this time there is DO one holding that position. <br /> <br />New business:VUlage dog catcher Ray Houle will talk to all dog owners personally <br />and sell licenses explaining the increase in the license fee. <br /> <br />Motion made by Peterson and seconded by Bourquin and passed' by all, that the rate <br />would be 13.00 for males and spa7ed females and 1.5.00 for temales.This would be <br />eftective.Janu~ 1,1963. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />Motion vas made by Peterson and seconded by Bourquin to discuss the purchase of <br />a Tranquilizer Gun,'. tor the dog catcher at our Dext meeting. Resulting from the <br />fact that ~ne would be needed it Ray Houle saw tit to ~ant such. <br /> <br />The following people were appointed to the position of Village Officers. <br /> <br />Cecil LaMotte,Acting Mayor <br />William Rehbein,Building Inspector <br />Dr.~obert W.Reit,Health Officer <br />Melvin Dupre,Assistant Health Officer <br />John PetersoD,Assistant Health Officer <br />1(illage'Bank.lst State Bank of Hugo <br />James MeyertVUlage Attorney <br />Edward Houle , Weed Inspector <br />Anoka ~t Village Newspaper <br /> <br />It is to be noted in the minutes that Councilman Peterson requested the change from <br />the Circu1ating Pines,IDe.Newspaper to any other newspaper as the oflical village <br />newspaper. <br /> <br />,.,(..r.;~...
