<br />City of CenterviIle <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />September 2, 2008 <br /> <br />Mr. Barry Morgan, Project Manager for M.A. Mortenson Construction, stated that they are <br />general contractors and currently building the Twins' and Gophers' stadiums. Mr. Morgan <br />stated that they are currently in due diligence to get their site plans completed. He showed <br />slides of what they are proposing. He pointed out, on the slide, that there is a residential <br />area south of the proposed property. He stated that they are requesting approval of site <br />plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers inquired whether this is the first time the City has been <br />asked to approve a plan such as this. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that this would not bind them beyond the fIrst phase. <br /> <br />Mr. Morgan stated that he understands the City Council is concerned about the screen and <br />what it will look like. He stated that Mortenson would be here as a long-term resident; <br />they would work with the City. He added that the fence would be extended as part of <br />Phase 1. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson requested that Mr. Morgan verify the elevation the building <br />would be set on and suggested choosing paint to match surrounding buildings. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mosher stated that he would like to see more trees planted along the fence. <br /> <br />Mr. Peter Brodd, Assistant Project Manager, M.A. Mortenson, stated that they would like <br />to purchase this property, so they would like to know that future plans would be welcomed <br />by the City. He stated that they would appreciate some kind of acknowledgment of what <br />they could do in the future. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Fehrenbacher. seconded by Commissioner Wood. to <br />approve Phase 1. with the interolantinf! of the discussed trees. and with the Drovision <br />that each buildinf! would be subiect to Code at the time it is built. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers suggested the wording be approved by the City <br />Attorney to make sure it would satisfy both sides. <br /> <br />Mr. Brood stated that if the Zoning Code changes, they would not proceed; however, they <br />would like some kind of acknowledgement that providing there is no problem with the <br />Watershed District and Code changes, they would be able to proceed with the other phases. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that this would be ftltered through the City Attorney. <br /> <br />VI.
