City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />November 12, 2008 <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar, to adopt Res. <br />#08-031 -Preliminary Action on the City's 2030 Comprehensive Plan. Motion passed <br />(4/0/1). Council Member Broussard-Vickers did not vote on the matter to the conflict <br />of interest.. <br />Request for Council Consideration for Staff to Commence 2008-2009 Business <br />Directory <br />City Administrator Larson reported that in the past, the City has worked in conjunction <br />with Media Junction on providing the City's Business Directory to all property owners and <br />new residents. Staff is requesting direction on whether to commence the process for the <br />upcoming 2009-2010 edition. <br />Councilmember Paar stated that he felt with the re-construction of CSAH14, businesses <br />would appreciate the opportunity to advertise their businesses. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve City <br />Staff commencing with the 2008-2009 Business Directory. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />6. Council Consideration of Regional Trail Maintenance Along CSAH 14 <br />City Administrator Larson stated that with the completion of the trail in the downtown <br />area, Council may want to consider plowing the snow and keeping the trail clear as the <br />County does not do routine maintenance of regional trails. Administrator Larson <br />questioned the length of maintenance to the west. <br />Councilmember Lee stated that he sees a lot of people using and enjoying that area on a <br />regular basis. <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers suggested that it be maintained as far as the City limits. <br />She also suggested that the Council be informed if there was a staffing issue. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, to <br />direct City Staff to remove snow from the Regional Trail along CSAH 14 to the <br />entrance to Rice Creek Regional Park. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />7. Appointment of Planning & Zoning Commission Members <br />Both Mr. James Wekseth and Mr. Jesse Lange were interviewed on November 12, prior to <br />the City Council Meeting. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers to <br />approve the appointment of Jim Wekseth and Jesse Lame to the Planning & Zoning <br />Page 7 of 10 <br />
