City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />October 22, 2008 <br />Mayor Capra made the following corrections to the Minutes: <br />Page 6 of 8, ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES; Downtown Area, second paragraph, add <br />"at Eagle Pass and Main Street' following "taken care of'at the end of the sentence. <br />Councilmember Lakeo made the following correction to the Minutes: <br />Page 3 of 8, second paragraph should state "Councilmember Lakso stated" rather than <br />"Councilmember Paar". <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Lakso, <br />to approve the August 13, 2008 City Council Work Session Meeting Minutes, as <br />amended. Council Member Paar Abstained. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. City of Centerville October 9, 2008, through October 22, 2008, Claims <br />2. Centennial Lakes Police Department Claims through October 9, 2008 <br />3. Centennial Fire District Claims through October 3, 2008 <br />4. Massage Therapist Certification - Ms. Barbara Ryan, Serenity Now Healing <br />5. Embedded Systems, Inc., Contract Renewal for Public Safety Siren Maintenance <br />for 2009 - $37.95/Siren/Month <br />6. Encroachment Agreement -Fence, NIr. & Mrs. David Haffman - 7364 Peltier <br />Circle <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, seconded by Council Member Paar, <br />to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />VL AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br />Centennial Lakes Police Department Updates -Sgt. Pat Aldridge <br />Sgt. Pat Aldridge appeared to give updates on the Centennial Lakes Police Department, <br />which included: <br />• Anew CSO was hired. <br />• Sgt. B.J. Stephan will be giving a CPR Class to citizens. His first class will be <br />given to the CERT Team. <br />• The Police Department received a grant for a new AED (Automatic External <br />Defibrillator) for use in a CSO vehicle. This grant was written by Sgt. Stephan and <br />Sgt. Russell Blanck. <br />• There were two reports of theft, one of which was a burglary. <br />• Several political signs were damaged, stolen, and a vehicle was damaged. It was <br />felt that these acts were of political nature. <br />• There have been no incidents with the Haunted House. <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
