Each person or business entity named in or as part of this application shall <br />execute a written authorization allowing the city and/or the Chief of Police to verify all information <br />disclosed as part of the application. <br /> <br />(F) False statements. It is unlawful to knowingly make a false statement in the license application and <br />is punishable as a misdemeanor criminal offense. In addition to all other penalties, the license may be <br />denied or subsequently revoked by the City Council for a violation of this section. <br /> <br />Section 10: Section 118.99 of the Centerville City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />A violation ofthis chapter shall be a misdemeanor. For continuing violations, each day the violation <br />exists shall be considered a separate offense. <br /> <br />Section II: Section 120.01(A) and (B) of the Centerville City Code is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />(A) Except for plumbers and other contractors exempted by State law from be licensed by the City, no <br />excavator or water/sewer service line installer will be allowed to commence any water and/or sewer <br />service installation without first having obtained a license from the city. Forms supplied by the <br />Administrator shall be completed and accompanied by a license fee in the amount established by <br />Council resolution. Homeowners desiring to do their own work shall not be required to be licensed, <br />but the work shall be done under supervision of a plumber licensed by the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />(B) The application shall include information as is requested by the city for determining identity and a <br />qualification to perform as a water/sewer service line installer. Upon a determination by the <br />Administrator that the application is complete and proper in all respects and the license fee is paid, the <br />Administrator shall issue the license. The term of the license shall run from the date of issue until <br />December 31 of the year of issue, unless sooner terminated by the City Council. Renewal shall be <br />accomplished by the same manner as original issue. The license may be revoked by action of the City <br />Council for violation of any ordinance, regulation, or law relating to the licensed work. <br />Penalty, see ~ 120.99 <br /> <br />Section 12: Section 120.99 of the Centerville City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Any persons violating any provision of this chapter shall be guilty ofa misdemeanor. Notwithstanding <br />other penalties, any person who begins work governed by this chapter without first obtaining a license <br />from the city shall pay double the normal license fee. <br /> <br />5 <br />
