City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes November 24, 2008 notified the City's Met Council representative of our application. The decision on these funds will be made by Met Council on December 10, 2008. b. Downtown Li..~htingBusiness Promotion Mayor Capra updated the council on the ribbon cutting ceremony and business promotion scheduled for December 9, 2008 at 6:OOPM in the downtown. Newspaper Ads have been placed in several local papers promoting this event and invitation are scheduled to go out by Wednesday of this week. c. Citizen Corps Council Mayor Capra provided an update on her attendance at the Minnesota State Citizen Corps Council conference held at the University of Minnesota. She also stated she has provided a presentation to the City of Lexington last week Thursday and will be presenting it to the City of Circle Pines tomorrow evening. She has received by-laws for a Citizen Corps Council, she and Mr. Larson will be working on them for presentation to the Council in January of 2009. d. CSAH 14 Update Engineer Statz provided an update and stated the road work is for the most part completed for this construction season. He requested that if any residents have outstanding issues with the project, they should contact City Hall as soon as possible. The start of the 2009 construction season will begin following the removal of the spring weight restrictions. The work on the City 2009 Street Project if approved, would begin around the same time as the completion of the CSAH 14 road work, but some pond dredging may occur over the winter months. X.
