City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 24, 2008 <br />Motion modified to read: Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by <br />Council Member Paar to approve the final payment to Burschville <br />Construction, Inc., which included Change Order #5 in the amount of <br />$30,829.55 for closeout - Backa~e Road/21st Avenue Utility & Street <br />Improvements. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />2. A.J. Ross Pay Request #2, Storm Dama.~e City Buildin.~s - $24,498.00. <br />Council Member Paar asked if these charges would be reimbursed from the City's <br />LMC Insurance Trust. <br />Finance Director John Meyer stated these expenses would be reimbursed through <br />the insurance following the City's deductable. He also stated this would be a total <br />payment of $24,498.00 divided up as follows: A.J. Ross Masonry $9,978.00 and <br />A.J. Ross Masonry & Bear Roofing & Exterior, Inc. $14,520.00. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lee to <br />approve payment as presented by staff - A. J. Ross Masonry $9,978 & A. J. <br />Ross Masonry & Bear Roofing & Exterior, Inc. $14,520. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Liauor License Renewal 2009 -Kelly's - On-Sale & Sunda <br />Council Member Lee stated he was aware Kelly's has passed all compliance <br />checks. The Council agreed to issue a Temporary On-Sale Liquor License to <br />Kelly's if they are unable to pay for the full year. This exception was previously <br />discussed and approved by Council due to hardship per the October 8, 2008 <br />meeting minutes. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lee to <br />approve a Temporary On-Sale Liquor License and Sunday Liquor License <br />for Kelly's. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Tobacco License Renewal for 2009 -Kelly's and CenterMart. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />approve Tobacco License Renewals for Kelly's and CenterMart. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br />Finance Director, John Meyer <br />a. Livable Communities Demonstration Account Funding <br />Recommendations -Redevelopment of Block 8 <br />Mr. Meyer provided an update on the status of the City's application for grant <br />dollars from the Metropolitan Council in the amount of $763,100.
