<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />December 10, 2008 <br /> <br />. There was vandalism at LaMotte Park, which appears to be done by younger <br />children. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Centerville Business Directory 2009-2010 <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee stated that, every couple years, a new directory is created to ensure <br />that all the businesses are included. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the City Staffs recommended proposal was in the <br />Councilmember's packets. The Staff recommended doing a color cover but then, to keep <br />the cost down, doing the balance of the directory in black and white. He stated that the <br />third column of the handout shows a cost of $2,630, but the cost should be $3,030. He <br />added that, if they receive enough advertising sales, they will upgrade the directory. <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee reported that the last directory was created in 2007. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated the City was estimating, with the help of advertising, the <br />cost to be $400 but were hoping the cost will be $0 for the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar stated that he felt this is an absolute must. He added that, because of <br />all the bad times businesses have had to deal with because of the road work, this is the least <br />they can do to help them. <br /> <br />Councilmember Lakso stated that she also recommended approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso. seconded bv Council Member Broussard-Vickers. <br />to approve movin2 forward with the 2009-2010 Centerville Business Directory. with <br />City participation not to exceed $500. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Res. #08-032 - Amending Res. #08-015 Associated with Ordering the 2009 Street <br />Improvement Proiect <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that, some weeks ago, the City Council approved the <br />project, which included some streets that are now not included. He stated that this <br />Resolution tightens the project up to only those streets in the original bid, and it will take <br />out the water main portion. He added that this is necessary to stay within the 20% <br />minimum special assessment. He stated that a second Resolution will be needed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso. seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers. <br />to approve Res. #8-032 - Amendin2 Res. #08-015 Associated with Orderin2 the 2009 <br />Street Improvement Proiect. as presented.
