City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />December 10, 2008 <br />City Administrator Larson stated that any license renewal would be on the condition that <br />all businesses were up to date with their taxes and insurance. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, to <br />approve the Liquor License Renewals for Trio Inn (Off-Sale, On-Sale &Sundavl, <br />Centerville Liquor Barrel (Off-Sale) and Wise~uys Pizza (On-Sale and Sundayh <br />provided all businesses, meet all of the license requirements, are up to date with their <br />taxes and insurance. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Sa. Tobacco License Renewal <br />a. Centerville Liquor Barrel <br />b. Corner Express <br />c. Trio Inn <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, to <br />approve the Tobacco License Renewals of Centerville Liquor Barrel, Corner Express <br />and Trio Inn. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />6. Ordinance #22, Second Series - 2009 Fee Schedule <br />City Administrator Larson stated that this Ordinance proposes raising building permit fees, <br />the utility fees, sewer trunk system fees for new hookups, water access fees and storm <br />water charges permit fees. <br />City Administrator Larson also stated that this is proposing billing residents bi-monthly, <br />instead of quarterly. He stated that it would be easier for citizens to pay the smaller <br />amounts, so it would reduce delinquencies. <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers stated that billing bi-monthly would be a 50% increase <br />in bill distribution, so it would cause additional expenses for the City. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that it would require additional staff time. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers inquired whether they would be sending notices to <br />everyone regarding the fee changes. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that April 1, 2009, would probably be the first time the <br />changes will appear. He stated that they would put a notation on the previous bill. <br />Mayor Capra suggested that, regarding Park Dedication fees, they should look at what <br />neighboring communities have done. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that they could do some research. <br />Page 7 of 11 <br />
