<br />CUL-DE-SAC. A local street, one end of which is closed and consists ofa circular <br />turnaround. <br /> <br />DAYCARE FACILITIES. A state-licensed daycare facility, as defmed in M.S. <br />Chapter 462, as may be amended. <br /> <br />DECK. A horizontal, unenclosed platform with or without attached railings, seats, <br />trellises or other features, attached or functionally related to a principal use or site. <br /> <br />DENSITY. The number of dwelling units permitted per net acre of land. <br /> <br />DEVELOPMENT. All structures and other modifications of the natural landscape <br />above and below ground or water, on a particular site. <br /> <br />DISTRICT. See zone. <br /> <br />DRIVE-IN ESTABLISHMENT. An establishment which accommodates the <br />patron's automobile from which the occupants may receive a service or in which <br />products purchased from the establishment may be consumed or business conducted in <br />the automobile. <br /> <br />DWELLING. A building or portion thereof that provides living facilities for one or <br />more families. <br /> <br />DWELLING, MULTIPLE. A detached, residential building containing three or <br />more dwelling units, including what is commonly known as an apartment building, but <br />not including group, row or townhouses. <br /> <br />DWELLING, SEASONAL. A dwelling not used for permanent residence and not <br />occupied for more than six months in each year. <br /> <br />DWELLING, SINGLE-FAMILY, ATTACHED (group, row and townhouses). One <br />of two or more residential buildings having a common or a party wall separating dwelling <br />units. <br /> <br />DWELLING, SINGLE-FAMILY, DETACHED. A residential building containing <br />not more than one dwelling unit entirely surrounded by open space on the same lot. <br /> <br />DWELLING, TWO-FAMILY. A building used exclusively for occupancy by two <br />families living independently of each other. <br /> <br />DWELLING UNIT. One or more rooms physically arranged so as to create an <br />independent housekeeping establishment for occupancy by one family with separate <br />toilets and facilities for cooking and sleeping. <br /> <br />EASEMENT.
