<br />YARD. A required open space on a lot which is unoccupied and unobstructed from <br />the ground upward, except as otherwise provided for herein. The measurement of a <br />YARD shall be construed as the minimum horizontal distance between the lot line and the <br />building line. <br /> <br />YARD, FRONT. A yard extending across the full width of the front lot between side <br />lot lines and extending from the front property line to the depth required in the yard <br />regulations of the district in which the lot is located. On a comer lot, both street <br />frontages shall be considered the front. <br />(Ord. 2d #5, amended 5/10/06) <br /> <br />YARD, REAR. A yard extending along a side lot line between the front and rear <br />yard lot line, having a width as specified in the yard regulations for the district in which <br />the lot is located. <br /> <br />YARD, SIDE. A yard between the sideline of the lot and the nearest line of the <br />building and extending from the front yard to the rear yard. <br /> <br />ZONING DISTRICT. An area or areas for which the regulations and requirements <br />governing use, lot and bulk of buildings and premises are uniform. <br /> <br />~~ 156.007-156.14 reserved for expansion <br /> <br />DISTRICTS AND USE REGULATIONS <br /> <br />~ 156.015 GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />(A) Zoning map. A map entitled Centerville Zoning Map is hereby adopted by <br />reference and declared to be part of this chapter as the official zoning map. This map <br />shall be on permanent file and available for public inspection in the City Hall. It shall be <br />the responsibility of the Administrator to maintain and keep the map up to date and to <br />record each amendment thereto within 30 days after official publication of the ordinance <br />adopting the amendment. <br /> <br />(B) Interpretation of the zoning map. Where due to the scale, lack of detail or <br />illegibility of the zoning map attached hereto, there is an uncertainty, contradiction or <br />conflict as to the intended location of any zoning district boundary as shown thereon, the <br />Zoning Administrator shall make an interpretation of the map upon the request of any <br />person. Any person aggrieved by the interpretation may appeal the interpretation to the <br />Board of Appeals and Adjustments. The Board of Appeals and Adjustments, in <br />interpreting the zoning map or deciding any appeal, shall apply to the following <br />standards: <br /> <br />(1) Zoning district boundary lines are intended to follow lot lines, or be parallel <br />or perpendicular thereto, or along the centerlines of streets, rights-of-way or <br /> <br />18 <br />
