<br />UNIT-MOBILE HOME PARK. A section of ground in a mobile home park of not <br />less than 7,500 square feet of unoccupied space in an area designated as the location for <br />one mobile home, off-street parking space for two automobiles and other uses considered <br />pertinent to the establishment and use of a mobile home residence as pennitted by this <br />chapter. <br />COrd. 25, passed 10-13-1976) <br /> <br />USABLE OPEN SPACE. A ground area on a lot, which is graded, developed, <br />landscaped or equipped or intended and maintained for recreation or leisure, available to <br />and usable by persons occupying a dwelling unit and their guests. <br /> <br />USE, PERMITTED. A use that is permitted in the district under which it is listed. <br /> <br />VARIANCE. The waiving by Board action of the literal provisions of the zoning <br />chapter in instances where their strict enforcement would cause undue hardship because <br />of circumstances unique to the individual property under consideration. <br /> <br />VEHICLE. Any vehicle which is self-propelled or designed to be pushed or pulled <br />and shall include but not be limited to automobiles, busses, motorbikes, motorcycles, <br />motor scooters, trucks, tractors, go-carts, golf carts, campers, trailers, boats, planes and <br />gliders. <br /> <br />VEHICLE, ABANDONED. Any vehicle as defmed in this section, which does not <br />have lawfully affIXed or attached thereto an unexpired state registration or license plate or <br />plates, or the condition of which is wrecked, dismantled, partially dismantled, <br />inoperative, abandoned or discarded. <br /> <br />WATER-ORIENTED ACCESSORY STRUCTURE OR FACILITY. A small <br />above-ground building or other improvement except stairways, fences, docks and <br />retaining walls which, because of the relationship of its use to a surface water feature, <br />reasonably needs to be located closer to public waters than the normal structure setback. <br />Examples of these structures and facilities include boathouses, gazebos, screen houses, <br />fish houses, pump houses and detached decks. <br /> <br />WETLAND. Lands transitional between terrestrial and aquatic systems where the <br />water table is usually at or near the surface or the land or is covered by shallow water. <br />For purposes of this defmition, WETLANDS must have the following three <br />characteristics: <br /> <br />(1) Predominance of hydric soils; <br /> <br />(2) Are inundated or saturated by surface or groundwater at a frequency and <br />duration sufficient to support a prevalence of hydrophilic vegetation typically adapted for <br />life in saturated soil conditions; and <br /> <br />(3) Under normal circumstances support a prevalence of that vegetation. <br />17 <br />
