City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />January 14, 2009 <br />Councilmember Lee replied that they need as much support as they can get. However, he <br />did not have specifics at this point. They would like to have an extra vehicle or two for run <br />winners to ride in the parade. <br />NOTE: There will be solicitation by the Park Board for support. The Parks & Recreation <br />Committee will take a tally of the contributions. <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br />City Administrator, Dallas Larson <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the State Auditor was in Centerville for about <br />eight days, and they are in the process of writing their report. City Administrator Larson <br />inquired of the State Auditor's Office, whether the City would be able to see the results <br />prior to when it is made public. The State Auditor did not know the answer. The report <br />should be completed within three weeks. <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the Police did the Liquor and Tobacco <br />compliance, and all establishments in all three cities passed. <br />City Administrator Larson distributed a handout to the Councilmembers regarding funding <br />for Fete des Lacs - 2005. <br />2. Mayor Capra -Police Governin.~ Board <br />Mayor Capra reported that the lead city alternates between the three cities, and this year <br />Centerville is the lead city. Mayor Capra announced that she will be the Chair of the <br />Governing Board for this year. Mayor Capra provided a copy of the letter from the Circle <br />Pines Mayor to the Council Members. <br />Mayor Capra reported that the Police Governing Board completed the Job Performance <br />Standards for the Chief of Police, and the Job Performance Standards for the Captain and <br />Sergeants are almost complete. She stated that the other Job Performance Standards will <br />be completed by the end of March or the first part of April. A full review of all positions <br />will take place the end of June or the first part of July. <br />Park & Recreation Committee <br />Councilmember Lee reported that the upcoming Festival of the Lakes 8K Run will be a big <br />event. In addition, other events are also being planned by the Committee. <br />Councilmember Lee stated that the Park & Recreation Committee is actively seeking <br />volunteers to help with the 8K Run and the Parade. He stated that all contact information <br />for prospective volunteers is on the website. <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />
