City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />January 14, 2009 <br />Therapeutic Massage Therapist License Renewals - 2009 (Serenity Now Healing <br />Center <br />B. Mr. William Klein <br />C. Mrs. Jennifer Klein <br />D. Ms. Barbara Ryan <br />Motion made by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Fehrenbacher, to approve renewal of the Therapeutic Massage Therapist Licenses for <br />Mr. William Klein, Mrs. Jennifer Klein, and Ms. Barbara Ryan at Serenity New <br />Healing Center. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />6. Authorization of Funds for Appraisal Work -Trail Project Easements -Bud e.~ t not <br />to Exceed X4.000 <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the City is moving forward with the project. He <br />stated that this project could also be a candidate for Federal stimulus for Public Works. He <br />added that the City needs to review sixteen properties. He suggested having an appraiser <br />look at the properties and provide the Council with some guidance. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to <br />approve the transportation enhancement budgets for the trail proiect easements. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />7. Parks & Recreation Committee -Request for Support for the Upcoming Festival of <br />the Lakes 8K Run <br />Councilmember Lee reported that the upcoming 8K Run will be held on Saturday, August <br />8, 2009, beginning at 8 a.m. <br />Mayor Capra stated that money has been approved for marketing. <br />Councilmember Lee stated that runners will get goodie bags. The Parks and Recreation <br />Committee would like to use the City logo in their advertising. <br />Councilmember Paar stated that he read research on City Runs, and he is blown away as to <br />how big there are now. He added that he believes this would be a great thing for this area. <br />Councilmember Lee stated that there will also be other runs in the area on the same <br />weekend. They are expecting 500-800 participants, and believe it will be a big event. He <br />added that the parade will take place after the runners are finished, which will keep <br />hundreds of people in town. <br />Mayor Capra inquired about the desire of the Parks & Recreation Committee. <br />Page 8 of 10 <br />
