<br />CentervilIe of City <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 28, 2009 <br />House and south of the Ice Rink. He stated that this site looks promising; however, there are a few <br />concerns they would look at before moving forward. One of the concerns is whether or not the water <br />table would be too high. He stated that they will get soil boring logs and reports. He added that the City <br />solicited quotes, and two quotes were included in the Councilmember's packets. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reminded the Council that they have not ruled out the St. Genevieve Pond, but the <br />other option would offer some advantages, including the possibility of eliminating the two ponds in the <br />downtown area. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lee. seconded bv Council Member Fehrenbacher. to aDDrove funds <br />for soil horino in coniunction with downtown area drainae:e System. not to exceed 53.780. Motion <br />carried (3/1) Councilmember Broussard Vickers ODoosed. <br /> <br />2. Authorization of Funds for Aonraisal Work - Block 8 Parcels - Bud2et Not to Exceed $5.000 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that before the City can move to the next step with the Block 8 Parcels, <br />they need the appraisals. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lee. seconded bv Council Member Fehrenbacher. to authorize funds <br />for aDDraisal work - Block 8 Parcels. not to exceed 55.000. Motion carried (3/1). Councilmember <br />Broussard Vickers ODDOSed. <br /> <br />3. AODrOve Reauest to Anoka County to Add Timer to Downtown Lil!htine: Panel- Cost Would Be <br />$3.340 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that this would give the City an opportunity to control how much the <br />lighting is used, and it would conserve energy. <br /> <br />Councilmember Fehrenbacher stated that he would first like to see the exact figures on the savings that <br />would result. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion made bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council Member Lee. to <br />aDDrove the reQuest to ARob County to add timer to downtown H2htine: DaneL cost not to exceed <br />$3.340.
