<br />Centerville of City <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 28, 2009 <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the City would use them on an hourly basis, as needed. <br /> <br />Motion made bv Council Member Lee. seconded bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. to <br />annrove additional assistance from ABDO. Eick & Mvers for temnorarv .assistance durin!!: the <br />vacancy of the Finance Director nosition. not to exceed 55.000. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimouslv. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTSIUPDATES <br /> <br />1. City Administrator. Dallas Larson <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson provided the Councilmembers with a list showing the expected impact of the <br />Govemor's budget reductions. He stated that there would be a Market Value Homestead Credit Aid cut <br />of about $65,000 for 2009 and about the same amount for 2010. In addition, Centerville would not get <br />any Government Aid. He stated that the City will have to look at the budget and identify ways to handle <br />these cuts. <br /> <br />2. Monthlv En2ineerin!!: Reoort <br /> <br />City Engineer Mark Statz reported that he prepared a document for City Administrator Larson regarding <br />the accounting for fees, which outlines their understanding of the current scope of fees for each project. <br />He stated that this will be reviewed at the next City Council meeting. <br /> <br />3. Anoka County's Joint Law Enforcement Council (ACJLEC) Meetin!!: Updates <br /> <br />Mayor Capra reported that the ACJLEC is submitting a letter to the State of Minnesota, supporting <br />Administrative Fines. City Attorney Glaser reported that Administrative Fines would use the City's <br />own enforcement for certain smaller offenses. In these cases, the Administrative Fines would be paid to <br />the City and the City would keep more of the revenue. He added that the City fines are usually lower. <br />City Attorney Glaser stated that, if someone does not want to pay the Administrative Fine, the issue <br />would go to the District Court. He added that more of a due process could also be set up within the City. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra reported that the City will receive a Grant for radios for the City Public Works. <br /> <br />X.
