<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 9, 1992 <br />page two <br /> <br />The City Council thanked Mr. Hagerty for his service, assistance <br />during the City Celebration, recycling budgets, promotion, etc. <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber wished to express appreciation to the <br />Centerville citizens for their recycling efforts and good <br />participation from the beginning of the program. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Municipal Well Number One <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, was present at the meeting and <br />updated the City Council on Municipal Well Number One. He noted <br />the operation to remove the pump did go smoothly. He noted the <br />repair of the pump will be approximately $1,600.00 and should be <br />reinstalled either Friday or Monday of next week. He noted <br />during the reinstallation the water will be turned off with no <br />disruption to users if the water tower is full. <br /> <br />Council member Burgstahler expressed appreciation to the <br />Clerk/Administrator in organizing the emergency efforts and <br />suggested that letters of thank you be written to all persons who <br />participated. <br /> <br />The Clerk/Administrator noted all persons contacted cooperated <br />fully and were instrumental in the facilitation of controlling <br />the potential emergency situation. <br /> <br />Council member Pelton wished <br />citizens on the municipal water <br />cooperating with operations. <br /> <br />to express <br />system for <br /> <br />appreciation to the <br />not panicking and <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber expressed thankfulness that the pump did <br />not go out in 30 degree below weather. <br /> <br />Mr. Stewart further advised a valve would be <br />water tower to isolate the tower from the water <br />the valve installation would be September 22, <br />a.m. to 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />installed at the <br />system. He noted <br />1992 from 10:30 <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to direct City Staff to <br />work with the Engineer to provide notice to the residents on the <br />municipal water system that there will be no water pressure <br />between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on September 22, 1992 due to <br />valve installation on the City water tower, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Burgstahler to authorize City Staff <br />and the Engineer Liaison to work with the City Engineer with <br />regard to the repair of the municipal well number one pump and <br />the reinstallation of the pump for a cost not to exceed <br />
