Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council of the City of Centerville held a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 12, 1992 at the City Hall. The purpose of the public hearing was to consider the improvement of Mound Trail with reconstruction, patching, seal coat and/or overlay. Mayor Buckbee called the public hearing to order at 7:09 p.m.Present: Dario, Wilharber. Absent: Burgstahler, Pelton. Mark Graham, City Engineer, was present to give an overview of the options for improvement on Mound Trail. The following audience members offered comment with regard to the proposed improvement: Louis Thill, 1385 Mound Trail, Floyd Laska, 1393 Mound Trail, Gerard LeTendre, 1397 Mound Trail, Hal Leibel, 7185 Mound Trail, Mr. Graham advised that typically a city will sealcoat every three to five years. Usually during the third cycle an overlay would replace the seal coat process. Mr. Leibel suggested that versus reconstructing and raising the western 650 feet of Mound Trail, the water table be lowered. Mr. Graham advised that with the regulatory agencies protecting wetlands, such as this, the City may not be in a position to lower the table. However, Maier, Stewart and Associates could explore this option and send a letter to the City Council. Motion by Wilharber, second by Buckbee to hearing, motion carried unanimously. Mayor Buckbee called the meeting to order at 7:36 p.m. Present: Dario) Wilharber. Absent: Burgstahler) Pelton. No audience were present to address this public hearing. Motion by Wilharber, second by Dario to close the public hearing, motion carried unanimously.
