<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 8, 1992 <br />page eight <br /> <br />consolidation at the end of September or sometime in early fall. <br />Mr. Neal and Ms. Pelton are to discuss this possibility with <br />their respective City Councils and Consolidation Commission <br />members. She noted that the purpose of the public hearing would <br />be to get a feel from the general public regarding the movement <br />of the consolidation effort. She advised that it appears to be <br />the attitude that it would be important that the public is <br />comfortable in pursuing this issue as the next step would involve <br />the hiring consultants at a possible cost of $25,000.00. <br /> <br />City Celebration <br />Council member Dario advised that the City Celebration Committee <br />is concerned about not receiving pre-sale tickets from the <br />carnival representatives. He noted that the Softball Tournament <br />appears to be a success as they are already half way filled. He <br />noted that there is also a Co-Ed Tournament this year. <br /> <br />Comouter Purchase <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Buckbee to direct City Staff to thank <br />the Columbus Lions Club for the donation of monies which enabled <br />the City Office to purchase a computer so that the Centerville <br />Accounting System can be streamlined; and to authorize City <br />Staff to purchase a computer for the City Accounting System to be <br />used by the Deputy Clerk for a dollar amount within the <br />guidelines of the donation by the Columbus Lions Club, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber suggested <br />office P.C.'s as this would be <br />appointments, writing notes, etc. <br /> <br />that the City network the <br />very helpful with scheduling <br /> <br />PAYMENT OF CLAIMS <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Dario to approve the current <br />payment of claims of the Centennial Fire District, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber to approve the current <br />payment of claims of the City of Centerville, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Wilharber to adjourn the meeting, <br />motion carried unanimously.
