r-

City Council Working Session
February 13, 1992
page three

The new job position
reviewed by the City
Council meeting.

and the
Council at

draft
the

advertisement
February 26,

shall be
1992 City

The Employee Review Board shall meet with Orville Hughes, the
current part time Public Works Director, on Saturday, February
22, 1992 at 8:00 a.m. to discuss the re-organization of the
public works department.

Mayor Buckbee noted that he will be meeting with Lino Lakes Mayor
Vern Reinert next week to discuss issues such as consolidation
and annexation. The meeting was requested by Mayor Reinert.

Mayor Buckbee also noted his concern regarding liability such as
hazardous waste spills, the municipal water system, parks in
general, playground equipment, etc.

Council member Wilharber noted that he would prefer park land to
be purchased more within the center of the City versus near City
boundary lines. He expressed concern regarding a Centerville
investment to those park areas that may be more of a benefit to
neighboring cities.

Council member Pelton noted that one reason for looking at park
land near the northern boundaries of the City of Centerville is
that the long term development for the northern area it did not
appear to be within a Metropolitan Urban Service Area. She also
noted that the Park and Recreation Committee plan suggests that
there be one large north and one large south park area for the
city.

Motion by Dario, second by Burgstahler to adjourn the meeting,
motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned 10:10 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Tamara M. Miltz-Miller
Clerk/Administrator
