City Council Working Session February 13, 1992 page two Council by the Carlstrom Group Incorporated; Based upon the understanding that the estimated cost of the building as described above would be approximately $465,000.00; with regard to the Site Plan Study for the Centerville Fire Station and City Hall as prepared by the Carlstrom Group dated January 15, 1992, the City Council is most agreeable to develop Site Plan B and that this consensus shall be communicated the Municipal Building Task Force for their consideration; The appropriate City Staff and the Financial Liaison shall contact the Municipal Financial Advisor for specific financial lease/purchase information, motion carried unanimously. Mayor Buckbee Milo Bennett facilities. shall contact regarding the the Centennial Fire District Chief City Council's desire for shared GOALS AND PRIORITIES A list of the Goals and Priorities is attached to and made a part of these minutes. II It was requested that additional items being the Star City Program and the Tree City U.S.A. Grant Program be added as additional to the 1992 Goals and Priorities. Many of the items listed have already been discussed or are already are in process. Public Works It appeared to be the consensus of the City Council that a full time public works person would be appropriate. Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber to direct the City Staff to prepare an amended job description that would be appropriate for a full time public works director; the position would entail 40 hours per week with an 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. availability; the job description shall address the physical and mental aspects of the job position; work independently and prior experience with regard to liability and safety programs; the City Staff shall also prepare a draft advertisement for the position, motion carried unanimously. ~ ~-~~;.~~~
