Chuck B~enner, Chai~pe~son of the Center-ville Economic Development Task Force, appeared before the City Council to ~equest pe~mission to form a sub-committee of the Centerville Economic Development Task Force to investigate and possibly implement a Star City Program within the City of Centerville sponsored by the Minnesota Development of Trade and Economic Development. Mr. Brenner appeared to feel that the benefits of the program were that it is a learning process, a city is able to develop skills to attract new businesses, it could improve employment and city tax base, it could enhance community involvement, community spirit with the local business person.
