<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, November <br />9, 1983 in City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 PM. Present were: Baumann, Wilharber and Zimny. <br />Motion by Baumann, second by Zimny to approve the minutes of <br />the October 26, 1983 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Hunting complaints; minutes from <br />October 26th meeting not published in Circulating Pines, <br />916 using Mill Road for driver training. Council requested <br />letter to be sent 916 registering formal complaint of 916 <br />using Mill Road and request they use some other route for <br />driver training. <br /> <br />Letter from Maureen Asleson on hunting was discussed at great <br />length. Clerk will request copies of Hunting/Fire Arms <br />Ordinances from several cities before discussing further. <br /> <br />Clerk read letters of intent for the vacant seat on the <br />council. Letters were received from Michael Ayers, 1793 <br />Center Street and Kathy Welk, 7219 Mill Road. Motion by <br />Zimny, second by L'Allier to appoint Michael Ayers to fill <br />the vacancy on the City Council, effective immediately and <br />term to expire December 31, 1984, roll calls Zimny, aye; <br />L'Allier, aye; Wilharber, aye; Baumann, aye; motion carried. <br />Mr. Ayers was not in attendance and will be sworn in at <br />November 23rd meeting. Clerk will send acknowledgement <br />of letter and results of appointment to Kathy Welke <br /> <br />Council discussed estimate on city tractor from Beisswengers. <br />Council felt estimate too high for work to be done and clerk <br />will call Beisswengers to adivse them of council decision. <br />Clerk will call 916-Small Engine counselor and see if they <br />can work on tractor in class and charge city for party. <br /> <br />Hospital Board representative position was tabled until <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />Attorney presented Resolution and sanitary sewer revenue <br />bond material for city to purchase from First State Bank <br />of Hugo in the amount of $9,000. Bonds run to November <br />1986 at 8!% interest, first interest payment payable <br />November 1, 1984 of $765. with subsequent interest payments <br />made semi-annually and $9,000. to be paid in full on <br />November 1, 1986. Motion by Baumann, second by Wilharber <br />to approve sanitary sewer revenue bonds, motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on 1984 sewer service charge of $34,020.94; <br />or $2,8J5.08 monthly payable to MWCC. Clerk requested <br />to call Ray Odde at Metro to revise 1984 estimated payment. <br /> <br />21st Street improvement discussion tabled until next meeting. <br />
