<br />Pur.suant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />May 25, 198), in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the meeting <br />to order at 8:00 pm. Present were Wilharber and Zimny. <br />Absent: Baumann and L'Allier. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to approve minutes of <br />May 11, 198) meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Bump on Peltier Lake Drive, <br />residents want "bump" sign., clerk will check and report <br />at next meeting. <br /> <br />Open burning ordinance tabled until next meeting. <br /> <br />Problem with fence and gate on Leibel property was discussed. <br />No decision made on matter. <br /> <br />Randy Zarbok appeared before council with concern about <br />his previous variance request and construction going on <br />in Centerville. Clerk was to check on two gar.ages built <br />on Shad Avenue. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council of tractor that is available through <br />Olson Implement in North Branch. Also conversation with <br />Randy Schumacher of Lino Lakes about request quote on <br />mowing park and ditches in Centerville. <br /> <br />Clerk reported on Ben Henrich's work done on city tractor <br />and his view of what should be further done on it to make <br />it operable. <br /> <br />Estimate from Lino Lakes on sweeping streets was discussed. <br />Clerk to check on estimate in reference to picking up debris <br />when swept. Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to accept <br />estimate from City of Lino Lakes for sweeping Centerville <br />streets, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk to check on price of sign for 20th Avenue and Main <br />Street and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Applications for ).2 beer permits were presented to council: <br /> <br />St. Genevieve's Church for picnic August 21, 198). They <br />also need a bingo permit and permission to rope off one block <br />of Goiffon Street between Sorel and Main Street. Motion by <br />Wilharber, second by Zimny to grant ).2 beer permit, bingo <br />permit and permission to rope off one block of Goiffon Street <br />between Sorel and Main Streets to St. Genevieve's Church <br />for their annual picnic Sunday, August 21, 198), motion carried. <br /> <br />John Searles for softball tournament at Twin Lakes Ball- <br />field on Saturday and Sunday, July )0 and )1, 198).
