<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, July 25, <br />1984 in City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order <br />at 7:05 PM. Present: Ayers, Baumann, Zimny. Absent: Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Ayers, second by Baumann to approve the minutes of the <br />July 11, 1984 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: complaint on weeds growing along road <br />on LaMotte Drive and Heritage Street, also on Peltier Lake Drive <br />and Mill Road. Harvey will check with Dan Tourville to get the <br />weeds cut. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: Engineer discussed proposed swayl between 1355 and <br />1369 Mound Trail. Also discussed other options and their costs. <br />Clerk will send letter to property owners involved to come to an <br />informational meeting on drainage solutions and assessments for <br />work done. Engineer will also check on who is actually contributing <br />to drainage problem and affected by solution and assessments. <br /> <br />Engineer discussed possible solutions to drainage problems on Mill Road. <br />Engineer will measure elevations of back of property owners affected <br />on Mill Road and present solution and costs at next meeting. Clerk <br />will send letter to property owners involved to come to an informational <br />meeting on drainage solutions and assessments for work done. Engineer <br />will check on owners actually contributing to the drainage problem <br />and affected by the solution and assessments. <br /> <br />Mr. Thill, 1385 Mound Trail, questioned the possibility of installing <br />street lights on Mound Trail. Clerk will check into cost.s. <br /> <br />Harvey will have Dan Tourville grade Peltier Lake Drive and Mill <br />Road so calcium chloride can be spread for the dust problem. Harvey <br />will spread the calcium chloride. <br /> <br />Motion by Ayers, second by Baumann to send letter to 1540 Peltier Lake <br />Drive addressing their potential rodent problem, enclosing a copy of <br />the Anoka County Health Dept. letter, and requesting they rectify <br />the situation, motion carried. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS. Jerry Sundberg briefed the council on activities <br />of the Joint Powers Commission. Council requested monthly updates <br />until the first of the year. <br /> <br />Motion by Ayers, second by Zimny to approve Barry Matson as chairperson <br />of the Joint Powers Commission, motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Baumann, second by Zimny to allow the Joint Powers <br />Commission to meet at the Centerville City Hall the third Thursday <br />of each month at 6.30 PM, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk will get latest valuation and population figures of Centerville <br />to Jerry Sundberg. <br /> <br />Motion by Zimny, second by Baumann to designate Des Englund as <br />alternate to the Joint Powers Commission, motion carried. <br />
