<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />June 13, 1984 in City Hall. Acting Mayor Wilharber called <br />the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Present were: Ayers and <br />Baumann. Absent: Mayor L'Allier and Zimny. Motion by Baumann, <br />second by Aye~s to approve the minutes of the May 23, 1984 <br />meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Clerk had received a complaint <br />about drinkin~ in the city park during softball games; complaint <br />had been rece1ved by Mayor on filling of ponding area on the <br />Rehbein property and Gunner Pettersen had looked into problem <br />and Ayers will also be checking into it; resident on Mill <br />Road had contacted building inspector about grading on her <br />property which had been done and is causing a water problem; <br />Building inspector had some questions on our Ordinance #4 <br />and whether or not he should be receiving copies of development <br />contracts between city and developer so he is aware of construc- <br />tion going on in the city; washout problem on Brian Drive has <br />not been taken care of and clerk will check with Des Englund <br />who was looking into solution for problem. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: On evening of June 12, 1984, Tom Wilharber and <br />Mike Ayers had met with Margaret Langfeld, Paul Ruud and <br />Dave Torkildson on the problems the city is having concerning <br />the fishing by the Pavilion. The following items were discussedl <br />(a) garbage proBlem - Anoka County will stop and pick up the <br />cans once a week from the area between the lakes. They were <br />informed that our pickup date was on Friday and they will <br />attempt to pick up at another time during the week. <br />(b) parking lot on west side of Peltier Lake across from <br />Mound Trail: With the council's agreement, the county will <br />develop a parking lot as described above for between 12-15 cars <br />as soon as the weather clears. A trail will also be developed <br />between the problem area, the proposed parking lot and the <br />larger parking lot further up the Peltier Lake area. A satellite <br />will be placed by the county at the smaller parking lot. Council <br />should also consider asking for one at the larger parking lot. <br />(c) Speed limit signs have been installed in three additional <br />areas along Main Street on both sides of the roadway and a <br />larger sign has been added just north of Lakeside Auto & Paint. <br />(d) Additional fill will be brought into the area on the <br />North side of Main Street on the Peltier Lake side of the road, <br />a power pole across from Twin Lakes will be moved back away <br />from the road more by NSP within the next few days. After <br />the fill is put in a fence (guardrail type with cable) and <br />one entrance will be implaced. Where the opening is, a pedestrian <br />crosswalk will be painted and signs installed. <br />(e) Concerning the drainage problem on the south side of Main <br />Street just next to the ball diamonds, the county will check <br />for a culvert and if not, will put a colvert under the road <br />to drain that area. <br />(f) Signs directing people to the entrance to the Anoka County <br />Preserve are being made at the sign shop and will be installed <br />shortly. <br />
