I I I Pursuant to due call and notice thereof~ the City Council of the City of Centerville held a public hearing September 28, 1988 at the Centerville City Hall. The purpose of the hearing was to hear all persons present regarding the proposed amendment to Ordinance #4 to require a Special Use Permit for sporting, athletic, and outdoor music events. Mayor LrAllier called the hearing to order at 6:35 p.m. Present: Fritchie, Burgstahler, Neumann. Absent: Wilharber. Debbie Dykema, representative of the Waterworks Bar was present to ask questions regarding the proposed amendment. Frank Zimny, 7252 Main Street was present in support of the proposed amendment. He noted that persons not connected with the Waterworks Bar have been dumping garbage in the trash bins set out for ball games. Gene Houle, 7124 Centerville Road asked questions of the Council regarding the proposed amendment. Council member Burgstahler noted that the amendment would give the City more control. The more problems that would occur, the more restrictive the Council would probably be. A copy of the proposed amendment is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Motion by Neumann, second by motion carried unanimously. Fritchie to adjourn the hearing, Hearing adjourned at 6:55 p.m. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting September 28, 1988 at the Centerville City Hall, Mayor LrAllier called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Present: Fritchie, Burgstahler, Neumann. Absent: Wilharber. Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of the September 14, 1988 meeting, motion carried unanimously. Motion by Neumann, second by Burgstahler to accept the minutes of the September 20, 1988 budget meeting, with the following correction to page two, paragraph 5: -Now reads: "Motion by Neumann, second by Neumann.. ,", -Amend to read: "Motion by Neumann, second by Burgstahler. ...., aye: L'Allier, Burgstahler, Neumann; abstain: Fritchie. OLD BUSINESS Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to amend Ordinance #4 to require a Special Use Permit for sporting, athletic, and outdoor music events as proposed in the above public hearing, motion carried unanimously.
