<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville City <br />Council held their regular meeting August 10, 1988. Mayor <br />L'Allier called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. Present: <br />Fritchie, Burgstahler, Neumann. Absent: Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to approve the minutes <br />of the July 27, 1988 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to amend Ordinance #4, <br />TABLE B -SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS LOT AND YARD <br />REQUIREMENTS, R-2A MINIMUM SQUARE FEET from 10,000 square feet to <br />11,500 square feet, keeping the 80 foot frontage, per the <br />recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to approve the partial <br />pay estimate for Maguire Iron for work completed from July 2, <br />1988 to July 29, 1988 on the water storage tank and related items <br />with regard to Municipal Water Improvement #81-2; the total <br />amount of the approved partial pay estimate is $23,000, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Burgstahler to approve the partial <br />pay estimate for Valley Paving, Inc. for work completed from <br />March 24, 1988 to August 9, 1988 on Sorel Street Improvement #87- <br />3; contingent upon contractor signing the pay estimates; the <br />amount earned is $1,813.41, of which $555.49 will be retained <br />until the work is complete; the total amount of the approved <br />partial pay estimate is $1,257.92, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />It is understood that the second lift of bituminous will be put <br />on Sorel Street concurrent with the second lift on the <br />Centerville Heights development. <br /> <br />Discussion of Lift Station #3. Orville Hughes, Public Works <br />Director advised that currently the pumps are unsatisfactory. <br />Per Brian Miller, City Engineer, single phase was approved by the <br />City. Miller also advised that the developer will reimburse the <br />City for any monies expended as a result of the problems with the <br />pumps, the developer in turn will go to the contractor for <br />developer reimbursement. <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber arrived at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to table discussion of Lift <br />Station #3, requesting a letter from the contractor verifying in <br />writing that the City will be reimbursed and/or that a bond will <br />be put up to cover possible future problems with the pumps, aye: <br />L'Allier, Fritchie, Neumann, Burgstahler; abstain: Wilharber. <br /> <br />Discussion of the Rehbein sketch plan north of Main Street. <br />Concern was expressed by the Council about accepting land that <br />lies underneath the ponding area for park dedication.
