CC Meeting Minutes Page seven July 27, 1988 Discussion of striping a walkway for school children along Progress Road between Main Street and Westview Street. Council member Fritchie noted that she is concerned about the safety of the children, but felt that the school should have expressed their intentions to have the City maintain the striping when the original project was completed by the school. Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann that the City of Centerville will take over the maintenance of the striping of a walkway on Progress Road between Main Street and Westview Street, aye: Burgstahler, Neumann, Wilharber, L'Allier; nay: Fritchie. Council member Neumann will research the cost of signs and possibly one way streets in the area of the school. Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to adopt Resolution #88-48 to implement a rotating City Council Liaison to go to the Centerville Economic Development Task Force meeting, motion carried unanimously. Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to adopt Resolution #88-49 that no footing inspections will be done by the Building Inspector until the property address is displayed on the property that can be clearly viewed from the street, motion carried unanimously. Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann to make the current payment of claims, except for the $650 check to LeRoy Houle for removal of two trees on City right-of-way, motion carried unanimously. Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann to direct City Clerk to contact City Engineer for an estimate on the damage done to Progress Road by LeRoy Houle during the removal of two trees on City right-of-way, the Clerk will then contact Mr. Houle regarding cost of repair, motion carried unanimously.
