I

I

I

CC Meeting Minutes
Page six
July 27, 1988

-City should have received a letter from the school district
updating the City on the Bussing Committee
recommendations.
-A possible walkway could be made using an easement on the
north end of the cemetery and private property on the
way to the creek. A bridge would have to be made over
the creek.
-Council could consider a comprehensive trail system to
assist in taking care of future pedestrian problems.
-Council could require developers to allow for walkways
along main arteries.

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to direct City Clerk to
send a letter to the Centennial School District advising them of
Centerville's continued concern regarding the walking and bussing
of children to the Centerville Elementary School, and that the
City will work in conjunction with the City Planner to address
these concerns, motion carried unanimously.

PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS
Nancy Daschel, 1760 Center Street appeared before the Council to
express her concern over the sewage that has seeped into the pond
behind her home from the property at 6906 Centerville Road.
Clerk advised that appropriate agencies have been notified of the
problem and the action the City is taking to correct it.

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber to direct Building
Inspector to go to 6906 Centerville Road to see if the septic
tank has been pumped as directed; if it has not the City will
take legal action to have the property condemned, motion carried
unanimously.

Connie Gerszewski, 1752 Center Street asked questions of City
responsibility concerning drainage easements. Clerk advised that
there appears to be confusion on this, but that if the resident
would like to call the City office on Monday more accurate
information will be available.

NEW BUSINESS
Scott Mower, 6823 East Shadow Lake Drive, Lino Lakes presented a
plan for a four-plex to be built on a lot west of Centerville
Road, on the south side of Heritage Street.

Motion by Neumann, second by Wilharber to grant a Special Use
Permit to Scott Mower to build a four-plex as presented to the
City Council, contingent upon City Planner review; if the Planner
has no concerns the project can go ahead; if the Planner does
have concerns the matter will be readdressed at the next
appropriate meeting, motion carried unanimously.
