<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville held their regular meeting on June~ 1988. <br />Acting Mayor Fritchie called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. <br />Present: Wilharber, Burgstahler. Absent: Neumann, LrAllier. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler to accept the minutes <br />of the June 8, 1988 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler to table discussion of <br />the hockey rink until a representative of the Park and Recreation <br />Committee is present, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler to approve the summary <br />of Appendix A, which will be an amendment/addition to Ordinance <br />#4; contingent upon Clerks verification with the City Attorney <br />that a 4/5 vote is not required, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Bids for water meters were read. Bids were received by: <br />-Davies Water Equipment $85.05 per meter for 20 Neptune <br />water meters; <br />-Water Products Company $72.32 per meter for 20 Rockwell <br />water meters. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />City Engineers, Brian Miller and John Stewart advised that both <br />Neptune and Rockwell are quality meters. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber to accept the bid from <br />Water Products Company of $72.32 per meter for 20 Rockwell water <br />meters, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler to approve partial pay <br />estimate #1 for interconnecting piping and control building and <br />partial pay estimate #1 for control building-mechanical and <br />electrical to Ro-So Contracting in connection with Municipal <br />Water Improvement #87-2, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Discussion of request for feasibility study for proposed Rehbein <br />developments north and south of main street. Clerk reminded the <br />Council of recent decisions regarding feasibility requests from <br />two other proposed developments. Clerk also reminded Council <br />that the development north of Main Street does not yet have an <br />acceptable sketch plan. <br /> <br />Stewart advised that it is practical to complete the feasibility <br />study of the proposed north development in connection with the <br />proposed south development. Utilities must be run through the <br />northern development to service the south development. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber that: <br />-considering that the majority of the proposed Rehbein <br />development south of Main Street is currently in a <br />residential zone and based on the understanding of the <br />
