<br />CC Meeting Minutes <br />Page Three <br />June 8, 1988 <br /> <br />farmer to help deter the costs of the increase in the <br />annual contribution. <br />-Variances to Ordinance #4 require a public hearing with <br />notice sent to property owners within 350 feet. <br />-If the Prachar's choose to pursue the lot split they could <br />increase the lot size or request variances to Ordinance <br />#4. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to adopt Resolution #88- <br />41 setting fees implemented in Ordinance #45 regarding the <br />installation and maintenance of municipal water, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />At the rates approved above, 40 homes are needed to break even. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to direct City Clerk to <br />write a letter to Harstad Companies to advise that it has been <br />reported that children are swimming in the ponds in Centerville <br />Heights, and that Centerville recommends that access to the ponds <br />should be limited, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to approve the plans <br />and specifications for the Short Street Sewer Extension <br />Improvement #88-1 subject to City Engineer, Metropolitan Waste <br />Control Commission, and EPA final review; City Engineer is <br />directed to obtain direct quotes for the project, contingent upon <br />obtaining drainage and utility easements from the properties at <br />6904 and 6906 Centerville Road, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to adopt Resolution #88- <br />42 authorizing the use of reserve sanitary sewer funds to finance <br />the Short Street Sewer Extension Improvement #88-1, and that <br />these monies will be returned to the sanitary sewer fund as <br />assessments are paid, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Archie Gay, 7154 Shad Avenue advised the Council that both wells <br />are wide open with no covers. (One by the building and one by <br />the tower.) Public Works Director left immediately to cover the <br />wells with a 5 gallon pail and put weights on top as a temporary <br />measure until Maguire Iron can take care of the problem in the <br />morning. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler to approve partial pay <br />estimate #2 for Maguire Iron in the amount of $7,530 for steel <br />delivered for the elevated water tower the week of June 1, 1988; <br />approval is based upon the recommendation of the City Engineer, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Burgstahler to approve partial pay <br />estimate #2 for Lake Area Utility Contracting, Inc. in the amount <br />
