<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville held their regular meeting on May 25, 1988. <br />Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: <br />Fritchie, Neumann, Wilharber, and Burgstahler. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the May 11, 1988 meeting with the following corrections: <br />-page 1, paragraph 1, amend - "the City Council held its <br />regular meeting April 27, 1988" to - "the City Council held <br />its regular meeting May 11, 1988" <br />-page 1, paragraph 2, amend - "April 13, 1988 meeting" to <br />read - "April 27, 1988 meeting" <br />-page 3, paragraph 1, amend - "the following lot" to "the <br />following lot in Center Oaks II", <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second <br />the May 17, 1988 Board of <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />by Neumann to accept the minutes of <br />Review meeting, motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the May 24, 1988 special meeting regarding City/deve16per <br />installed improvements, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Discussion of Kenco Convenience Store/Car Wash. Of concern <br />the hours that the store would stay open. It was noted <br />Trippel's Market is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. <br />Roessler, representative of Kenco Construction advised <br />Council that the store would only ask to be open 24 hours <br />if it would be of service to the community to do so. <br />Roessler noted that the person seeking to lease the store <br />like to be open from 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. <br /> <br />were <br />that <br />Kent <br />the <br />a day <br />Mr. <br />would <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to approve the lot split <br />of: <br />that part of the East 246.44 feet, as measured at right <br />angled, of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast <br />Quarter of Section 23, Township 31, Range 22, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota, lying North of a line described as <br />commencing at the Northeast corner of said Southeast <br />Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence South along <br />the East line thereof for 310.89 feet to the actual <br />point of beginning of the line to be hereby described; <br />thence deflect 90 degrees 58 minutes 00 seconds to the <br />right in a Westerly direction for 246.48 feet, more or <br />less, to intersect with and terminate at the West line <br />of said East 246.44 feet, <br />from Lot 9, Block 12 City of Centerville; <br />-with the following justification: <br />-it meets the intent of the Comprehensive Plan, <br />platting of separated parcel would cause undo <br />hardship to the developer, <br />-that the lot is not a substandard lot; <br />
