<br />CC Meetins Minutes <br />Page eight <br />October 12, 1988 <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Burgstahler to approve "Stop" and <br />"Yield" signs in the Centerville Heights development as <br />recommended by the Public Works Director and the City Engineer, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Burgstahler to approve a "Dead End" <br />sign at the end of Peterson Trail and a "Right Hand Turn" sign on <br />Fox Run to Shad Avenue in the Centerville Heights Development, <br />per the recommendation of the City Engineer, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />A copy of the recommendations of the Public Works Director and <br />the City Engineer with regard to traffic signs in the Centerville <br />Heights development are on file with the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Discussion of complaints of dead sod in some areas along the 1987 <br />Street Reconstruction project boulevards. The sod is the <br />responsibility of the contractor for 30 days. The dry summer <br />combined with lack of care (watering) by the property owner has <br />damaged some areas sodded in connection with the project. The <br />above conditions occurred after the 30 day responsibility period <br />and are beyond the control of the contractor. <br /> <br />City Engineer, John Stewart, submitted a letter to the City <br />regarding six warranty items that Valley Paving would need to <br />complete. A copy of this letter is on file with the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to direct the Clerk to <br />write to Northern States Power to advise that the repair they had <br />done on Mill Road has settled and must be redone, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie second by Burgstahler to table discussion and <br />approval of the Assessment Manual until the CePtzmber 26, 1988 <br />meeting, motion carried unanimously. Cern er <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber to table discussion of <br />City installed improvements until a later meeting, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to appoint Council <br />members Wilharber and Fritchie as liaisons to the City Engineer <br />through December 31, 1988, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie to approve a letter to <br />be sent out to persons who would be hooking up to municipal water <br />with regard to final hook up and costs; all hook up fees and <br />deposits will be paid at the time building permits are issued for <br />new build homes which will have municipal water, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
