<br />( <br /> <br />r-- <br />I <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Monday <br />December 23, 1985. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting <br />to order at 7:00 P.M. Present: Ayers, Robischon, Zimny, <br />Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Wilharber to accept the <br />minutes of the December 11, 1985 meeting, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />P~TITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />Councilman Zimny made mention of an article written by <br />Bob Lattery of the Circulating Pines. He requested <br />Mr. Lattery specify in his articles when a separate <br />interview is being included in the report of the City <br />Council meeting so the readers will not assume that person <br />has attended the Council meeting. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINl:!:SS I <br />Appearance of Phil Little, DTRA, to answer any questions <br />or concerns the Council had regarding the races to be <br />held on Centerville Lake. Some concerns addressed were. <br />emergencies - ambulance will be on site, parking problems - <br />lots will be plowed on the lake, insurance coverage - <br />both racers and spectators will be covered, sanitation - <br />satellites will be on site, clean up - there will be a <br />cleanup crew after races to comply with the DNR permit <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Appearance of Terry Mauer, Maier Stewart & Associates, <br />Mr. Mauer thanked the Council for selecting MSA as City <br />Engineers. He will work with the City Clerk on the <br />transition. After transition, he will work on the L'Allier <br />- Houle ditch cleanout. <br /> <br />i- - <br /> <br />Motia by Ayers, second by Robischon to approve the 1986 <br />Centennial Fire District Budget of $134,423 a 10%~1ncrease <br />over the 1985 budget, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion of the Centennial Fire District - Equipment <br />Appraisal. Motion by Ayers to approve equipment appraisal - <br />died for lack of a second. Motion by Zimny to have <br />Des Englund prepare a statement showing the original <br />cost of the equipment effective 1-1-85 in order for the <br />City to calculate 60% and 70% figures - motion withdrawn. <br />Motion by Zimny, second by Robischon to table the approval <br />of the equipment appraisal figure until January 8 meeting, <br />Councilmen Wilharber, Zimny, Robischon & Mayor L'Allier - <br />Aye, Councilman Ayers - Nay, motion carried. Clerk will <br />call Circle Pines to verify the $134,750 figure and will <br />obtain original appraisals from Des Englund & Jerry Sundberg. <br /> <br />Councilman Zimny will be Centerville's City Council representative <br />to the Centennial Fire District Planning Committee.~ <br /> <br />The communi ty~s papers will publish the need for a Centennial <br />Fire District - Audit Committee Member. <br /> <br />Motion by Ayers, second by Zimny to approve Ordinance # <br />24-B relating to the keeping of Wild and Exotic Animals <br /> <br />~ <br />
