<br />I <br /> <br />Pagel two. <br />Ci tyl Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />MarQh 1), 1985 <br /> <br /> <br />Mot~on by Ayers, second by Robischon to transfer the title <br />of 1he fire vehicles to the Centennial Fire District upon <br />rec~ipt of proof of insurance from Random Insurance Agency, <br />mot~on carried. <br /> <br />Dis~ussion of finances. Centennial Fire District. The City <br />will be paying the Centennial Fire District $1),002.88 in <br />1985. Some of the depreciation will be returned to the City <br />in 1985. The amount to be returned and time frame in which <br />it will be returned has not yet been determined. A percentage <br />of the electricity, gas and telephone will be reimbursed <br />to the City. The Finance Committee of the Centennial Fire <br />District is presently reviewing what an appropriate percentage <br />wilt be to present to the City for final approval. The City <br />wil~ be able to use the tank truck to flush its sewers without <br />Cha(ge. A fireman will need to be with the truck in case of <br />a f-re call. <br />Aud-tor's Financial Statement: The City of Centerville ended <br />up ith a $)4,089 deficit in the General Fund and a $12,))0 <br />def~cit in the Park Fund. In the financial report the <br />audli tor brought to mind the issue of the Homestead Credi t. <br />In !the past, the Homestead credit has been budgeted as a <br />separate revenue producing item. In reality, the Homestead <br />Cr~dit is a portion of the tax levy (approx. 30%). The 1986 <br />bu~get will reflect proper handling of the Homestead Credit <br />and an attempt to reduce the City's deficit. <br /> <br />Moiion by Robischon, second by Wilharber to send a letter of <br />su port to Diane Harberts, Transportation Specialist, Anoka <br />Co nty Courthouse, for the Transportation Coordination Program, <br />mo ion carried. <br /> <br />cettennial Fire District update by Jerry Sundberg. Consideration <br />is being given to add a Fire Marshall to serve the district. <br />Ce terville's portion of the cost would be approximately <br />$1 0 - $200. Motion by Zimny, second by Robischon to support <br />th! concept of a district wide Fire Marshall in the Centennial <br />File District, motion carried. <br />Th next Fire Commission meeting will be April 11, 1985 at <br />7: 0 P.M. in the Lino Lake City Hall. <br /> <br />DiEussion on softball tournaments at City Park and Twin <br />La es Pavillion. It was suggested that the Park & Recreation <br />Co ittee take a look at softball tournaments at the City <br />Park. It was also suggested a special committee made up <br />of residents, councilmen, and Twin Lakes owner be set up <br />tol address the softball tournaments at Twin Lakes. This <br />ma~ter will be on the March 27, 1985 agenda. <br /> <br />Thle Park & Recreation Commi ttee spoke wi th Terry Koch about <br />IOing distance phone calls made on the Hall phone.
