(

Page Two - City Council
Meeting Minutes
No~mber 1), 1985

Motim by Wilharber, second by Zimny to send Mr. Moreland,
1540 Peltier Lake Drive a letter acknowledging the progress
he has made cleaning up his property, notifying him the cleanup
is not sufficiently completed, and referring to attorneys letter
dated September 3, 1985. If action is not resumed within
10 days the City Attorney will be asked to proceed with
litigation.

Motion by Ayers, second by Robischon to refer the Wild &
Exotic Animal Ordinance to the City Attorney for review,
motim carried unanimously. It was noted any permit fees established
for Wild & Exotic Animals should be large enough to cover
publishing and hearing costs.

Motion by Zimny, second by Robischon to authorize Councilman
Wilharber to purchase name plates for City Council members,
City Attorney, and City Clerk, not to exceed $125.00, motion
carried unanimosly.

Motion by Robischon, second by Wilharber to hire Ro-So Contracting
to raise and repair two manholes, motion carried unanimously.
After this work has been completed, the council would like Ro-So
to document their work to allow us to forward it to the
Metropolitan Waste Control Commission.

Motion by Zimny, second by Robischon to purchase John Deer
snowblower - model #826 at $875.00 less trade-in of $500.00,
motion carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:

Appearance of Harvey Karth, President and Bob Chilson, Vice-
President of the Lino Lakes Lion's Club. They requested permission
to have pull tabs at the Twin Lakes Pavillion. The permit
would be for the period of 1 year, 3 nights per week until 9:00 P.M.,
staffed by Lions Club members. Proceeds go to a sight and
hearing charity at the University of Minnesota. This operation
would be licensed by the state and monitored by the state. The
Centerville Lion.s Club has no problem with the Lino Lakes
Lion's Club doing this in Centerville.

Motion by Ayers, second by Robischon to approve a permit for
the Lino Lakes Lion's Club to have pull tabs at the Twin Lakes
Pavillion for the period of 1 year from issuance of state license,
on the condition it be operated by Lion's Club members only,
motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Ayers, second by Robischon to permit members of
Planning and Zoning Commission attend the Annual Planning
Institute, motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Ayers, second by Wilharber to table compost turning
matter until next meeting when Harvey has some price information,
motion carried unanimously.

I
~~
