Mayor L'Allier called the meeting <br />7100 P.M. Presentl Ayers, Robischon, Zimny, <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Ayers to accept the minutes <br />of the August 24 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />Councilman Ayers requested class 5 be put on Center Street <br />and graded to fill holes. <br /> <br />Clerk will work with police to set up a neighborhood crime <br />watch program. Interested residents should contact Clerk <br />or Councilman Wilharber. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS. <br />Presentation by Diane Harberts, Anoka County Transportation <br />Specialist, on transportation for Senior Citizens. Ms. Harberts <br />is looking for a representative recommended by the City Council <br />to serve on a committee to research transportation alternatives <br />for senior citizens. She will send a list of seniors .- <br />residing in Centerville in order for the council to solicite <br />an interested senior to serve on this committee. <br /> <br />Clerk will find out if the City can request a pressure test <br />on an underground tan~ presently in use. If so, the Clerk <br />will request a pressure test be done on the underground <br />tank at 1798 Main Street in Centerville. <br /> <br />Clerk will send copy of the City Attorney's response to <br />a lawsuit against the City Engineer to Mr. Wayne LeBlanc, <br />1677 Peltier Lake Drive. <br /> <br />Clerk will check on the City's debt versus the assessed <br />valuation per the City Attorney's letter dated September <br />), 1985. A copy of that letter is attached to and made a <br />part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Robischon to table discussion <br />of the engineering responses to proposal until the October <br />9, 1985 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor L'Allier and Councilmen commented on the excellent <br />job the Lino Lakes Police Department has been doing. Clerk <br />will send a letter to Chief Campbell acknowledging their <br />efforts. <br /> <br />~) <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to approve Ron Fagerstrom, <br />Chief of the Spring Lake Park, Blaine, and Mounds View Fire <br />Department, to do the appraisal of all the fire apparatus <br />and equipment of the Centennial Fire District, Centerville's <br />portion of the expense not to exceed $100.00, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />__J <br />
