City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 11, 2009 <br />On page 3 of 8, VIII. New Business Item 1, sentence 1: change the word "affected" to <br />"objecting." <br />On page 7 of 8, IX Announcements Item 3, sentence 2: change $75,000 to $25,000. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers, <br />to approve the February 25, 2009 Council Meeting Minutes as amended. Motion <br />carried (3/0/2) Council Members Fehrenbacher and Paar abstained. <br />2. March 4, 2009 Council Work Session Meeting Minutes <br />Mayor Capra requested the following changes: Councilmember Broussard Vickers was <br />not in attendance at the March 4, 2009 meeting. <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />approve the March 4, 2009 Council Work Session Meeting Minutes as amended. <br />Motion carried (4/0/1). Council Member Broussard Vickers abstained. <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. City of Centerville February 26, 2009 through March 11, 2009 Claims (Check <br />#24187-24207) <br />2. Centennial Fire District Claims through March 2, 2009 <br />3. Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation to Expend Funds to Participate <br />in the YMCA Park Play Days -Not to Exceed $1,200 <br />City Attorney Glaser pointed out that two checks were missing. <br />City Administrator Larson replied that these are payroll check numbers 008919 and <br />008920. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Fehrenbacher, to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />VL AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br />Sgt. Aldridge, Centennial Lakes Police Department, provide information on community <br />events, fire incident response training, open water rescue training, and Police Department <br />tours with scout groups. He reported that there was only one theft over the past month, <br />which occurred at the school. Sgt. Aldridge reported a known drug house was shut down. <br />A sample of the "Check your Garage Door" stickers was shown. <br />Sgt. Aldridge read a thank you note written to Officer Angie Kruyer from a citizen whose <br />husband was deployed to Iraq, expressing gratitude for their extra attention during his <br />deployment. <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
