Res. #09-006 - Authorizing Submission of Application for ARRA Transportation <br />Enhancement Grant <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that there are Federal stimulus grant dollars available for <br />the trails. The City trail project was previously approved for about 75% funding, but staff <br />would like to submit the project for ARRA funding for the local construction share as well. <br />The application is due April 3, 2009. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Fehrenbacher. seconded bv Council Member Paar. to <br />adoot resolution 09-006 authorizin2 submission of an aoplication for an ARRA <br />Transoortation Enhancement Grant. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />6. Parks and Recreations Committee - Parade Budget Reauest <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee stated that the Parks and Recreation Committee would like formal <br />approval on their parade budget. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Fehrenbacher. seconded bv Council Member Paar. to <br />aoorove the parade bud2et reQuest of $6000 for the parade and aoorove use of the Citv <br />1020. Motion carried (4/1) Council Member Broussard Vickers oooosed. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTSIVPDATES <br /> <br />1. Citv Administrator. Dallas Larson <br />a. Screening/Hiring Process - Finance Director Position <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the job posting has been out for some time, and <br />it will close April 7, 2009. He stated that the Council needs to discuss who will <br />participate in the interviews. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra inquired whether the Council would want to follow the same process <br />used previously. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar stated that he would like to participate in the interviews. <br /> <br />Councilmember Fehrenbacher stated that he would also like to participate in the <br />interviews. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra and Councilmember Broussard Vickers both stated that they are fine <br />either way. However, Councilmember Broussard Vickers stated that she would like <br />to participate in the 100-point scoring process. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson suggested that they could do a two-step process in order <br />to keep the time frame shorter for Councilmembers. <br /> <br />Page 8 ofl 0 <br />
