<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />March 31, 2009 <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar inquired as to what the odds are for the City. City Engineer Statz <br />replied that there is a good chance there will be left over money. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard Vickers inquired whether they would get priority if they got in <br />on 2010 early. City Engineer Statz replied that he will look at list and see how many people <br />are in the pool. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra inquired whether they would need a separate motion to post a Public Hearing. <br />City Administrator Larson replied yes and, if they have it the second meeting in April, they <br />will have time to do what needs to be done. <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz stated that, by the second meeting in April, they should have bids in <br />hand. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Fehrenbacher. seconded bv Council Member Lee. to <br />approve $1.500 to pay Bonestroo to work on the "!!:reen" elements associated with the <br />Downtown Draina!!:e System. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lee. seconded bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. to <br />schedule a Public Rearin!!: on Mav 13.2009. for PFA fundin!!: for the street proiects <br />and schedule the Public Rearin!!: on Mav 13. 2009. for downtown PFA !undin!!:. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. 2009 Fete des Lacs Funding <br /> <br />This item was discussed and approved under N. A wardslPresentationsl Appearances, Item 1. <br /> <br />2. Parking Restrictions on Mill Road & Peltier Lake Drive <br /> <br />Councilmember Fehrenbacher stated that he would not want a decision made at the current <br />meeting because first the Council needs good input. He stated that he drives Mill Road <br />every day and if you are driving at dawn or dusk, it does not feel safe for the children <br />because the roads are less than 33 feet across. He suggested that maybe the answer is <br />parking ouly on one side of the street. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that, in the past, they asked the Police Department to take a look at the <br />situation and give their opinion. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard Vickers suggested signs indicating: "No Parking 7 a.m. - 10 <br />p.m. and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m." would make it safer for the children. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested that City Administrator Larson get an opinion from Sgt. Aldridge. <br />She also requested that he ask Sgt. Aldridge if there are any other areas that are a hazardous. <br /> <br />Page 6 of 10 <br />
