<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereo~, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on June 11, 1986 <br />at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order <br />at 7:05 P.M. Present: Zimny, Robischon, Fritchie. Absent: <br />Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Zimny, second by Fritchie to approve the minutes <br />of the May 28 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />Clerk received complaint on resident at 1688 Sorel Street <br />burning used oil and will re~er to the police department. <br /> <br />Complaint received ~rom Blaine Paschke, 1740 Peltier Lake <br />Drive. The swale between Peltier Lake Hills Addition #2 <br />and the residents on Peltier Lake Drive has washed out with <br />the spring rains. Clerk will check with developer to get <br />replaced. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Discussion on Strehlow rezoning. The Planning and Zoning <br />Commission recommended the City Council grant Mr. Strehlows <br />request for the ~ollowing reasons: <br />- Rural Residential seems to be an appropriate use of <br />the land based on its limitations of being in the <br />flood plain. <br />- This rezoning would have limited impact i~ any on the <br />future development of 20th Avenue. <br />- In the interest of public health it would create <br />an additional buffer zone to the creek from Industrial <br />Development. <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Robischon to rezone the Northeast <br />Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter <br />(NEi of Nwi of SWi) of Section 24, Township 31 North, Range <br />22 West, containing 10 acres more or less, according to the <br />United States Government survey thereof, lying in the City of <br />Centerville, Anoka County, Minnesota from Industrial to <br />Rural Residential; Mr. Strehlow will be moving a single <br />family home in and is aware and has acknowledged this is a <br />flood plain area which may affect his building plans, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion on 1540 Peltier Lake Drive cleanup. The resident <br />has cleaned up his property. Clerk will take o~f pending <br />action list. <br /> <br />Discussion on roads. Motion by Fritchie, second by Robischon <br />to set up a work session June 12, 1986 at 7:00 P.M. at City <br />Hall, to draft a questionnaire to be sent to homeowners on <br />the repair of the roads, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk will contact engineer for his input on questionnaire. <br /> <br />Clerk will put road update on channel 10. <br /> <br />Discussion on Hall use. It was determined non-profit groups <br />or civic organizations could make arrangements through the <br />Clerk's office for use of the City Hall. <br />
