<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on April 9, 1986 <br />at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order <br />at 7:00 P.M. Present: Fritchie, Robischon, Zimny, <br />Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Wilharber to approve the <br />minutes of the March 26 meeting with the correction that <br />Councilman Zimny was absent, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />Helen Turcotte, 7071 Centerville Road, presented the <br />Council with bills for damage done to her home by pucks <br />flying from the rink and kids trying to retrieve their <br />pucks off her roof. Damage included broken windows, <br />ripped screens and raised roof shingles. The bills <br />amounted to $52.87. Motion by Wilharber, second by <br />Robischon to: <br />turn these bills in to our insurance company <br />for payment, <br />- if the amount falls within the City's deductible <br />the City pay it, <br />- temporary measures be taken to screen Mrs. Turcotte's <br />home from further damage, <br />- instruct future rink attendents that private property <br />is off limits, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Appearance of Dean Campbell, Lino Lakes Chief of Police. <br />Chief Campbell was in attendance to address any concerns <br />of the Council. Some of the concerns addressed were as <br />follows: - the officers do not have a problem working <br />the Centerville area, <br />officers are allowed to eat outside the City <br />limits of Lino Lakes and Centerville in Circle <br />Pines and Lexington only, <br />a copy of the police schedule will be on record <br />in the clerks office, but not made public for <br />security reasons, <br />Centerville-always haB 24 hour.cove~age.I'~~c~up <br />if needed is obtained from a part time officer, <br />power car, or Chief Campbell. They also have <br />mutual aid pacts with Ramsey County and Washington <br />County. They can also call on Circle Pines. <br />A power car is an overlap car. <br /> <br />Chief Campbell also mentioned final interviews will be Monday <br />night, April 14, for an additional officer. <br /> <br />The general concensus of the Council was the police department <br />was doing a good job. <br /> <br />Appearance of Terry Mauer, Maier Stewart & Associates, to <br />discuss our road situation.
